Questions about Friends
- How do I add a friend?
- Share your invite link or QR code, or search for someone by username. Once they accept your request, you’re connected.
- Does PassportPal share my live location?
- No. PassportPal only shows the country you’re in while traveling, or your home country when you’re not. It never shares your precise location or address.
- What exactly can my friends see?
- You control your travel history, upcoming trips and current country separately. Each can be shared with everyone, just your friends, or nobody. Your My Travel setting sets the broadest audience, while the other two can be made more private.
- Can I keep my travels private?
- Yes. Set My Travel to Nobody and your travel history stays private. Your map, trips and stats still work normally for you.
- Can people find me without an invite?
- Only if Findable in Search is turned on. Turn it off and you won’t appear in search, but anyone with your invite link can still reach your profile.
- Do friends cost anything?
- No. Adding friends, seeing their profiles and keeping up with their travels are all free. Pro adds features like photo import, visa requirements and country insights.
